Spooky season (aka Halloween/Fall) is upon us! You can argue that I have to wait until AT LEAST Sept 23rd, but I'm hearing none of it. Read below to see what my writing plans are for Spooky Season 2019!
You may have noticed a marked decrease in my activity on this website. Most of that is good as I'm writing things for other avenues and already warned readers I couldn't throw everything on the website. I can't publish what I've already given away for free.
Since last month's update, I've mostly been organizing my incredibly huge backlog of story ideas. Ideas have never been a problem for me, just that pesky follow-through.
The plan is still to get the S4 up and running properly in January. I've had some issues with the digital version but I'm working that out. I also think I found a better company to print my copies, so I'm hoping that will pan out. Since I don't have a huge following ready to give me money, every venture that requires money comes out of my own pocket. It's tough, but I believe I can get it to work.
So, what am I doing that matters to you? Not too much. Last year I partnered with Fairies and Finds to bring you Mab Graves' Drawlloween vignettes. Instead of the short stories we planned, the entire thing turned into two very separate, yet very big pieces. I am still planning on releasing our work to you but it looks like it'll be next year that it'll be ready.
This year I'm tackling a similar project. I haven't picked what prompt system I plan to use (there are plenty out there), but I will do one story a week with a spooky theme. I may skip prompts completely and just bring you an original short of my own choosing. Either way, it should be a fun break from the big pieces I've been banging my head against.
As always, if you have prompts, send them to me!
